Dear Modest Bride,
Do you want to know why you are close to my heart? The answer is simple: I was a modest bride when I got married nine years ago. I had the hardest time finding a gown that wasn't strapless or only had spaghetti straps, so I had a jacket made to go with my gown. If I were a seamstress, making my own gown would have been an option. Unfortunately, I got frustrated with the material bunching up in the sewing machine when my mom tried teaching me to sew. Now, all I can boast is being able to sew on a button and a hemline. Here's a photo of me on the day of our wedding and it's hard to believe that's been nine years ago already!

It may not be as hard to find long gowns with sleeves as it was for me then, but it's still great to have a sense of direction, right? Without further ado, here are the places I've found to offer beautiful couture without compromising quality for both bridal gowns and bridesmaid dresses. (Note: I am in no way affiliated with any of these shops and will not make a profit when you buy from these merchants.)
For those of you who love the vintage look, you can even find dresses at your local thrift and consignment shops!
I pray all the best for you and your husband to be.
All my love,
