Wedding Planning Series

Welcome to The Wedding Planning Series!

- Exquisite Events -

Hello Friend,

I am so excited to begin this brand new blog series focused on education, tips, resources, inspiration and more featuring various local wedding vendors and businesses.  I like to call it my Vendor Spotlight because each business will be showcased from a personal standpoint so you can get to know the owner, hear their expertise and learn how they can help you plan your wedding with ease.

Meet Amanee Salaam of Exquisite Events.

Amanee offers wedding services that include full planning and design.  If you simply need design and styling or day of wedding coordination, Amanee provides this service as well.  Every bride wants to have her day organized down to the smallest detail, and Amanee is your go-to person for building your wedding website, designing stationery and beautiful floral design! (See more of her portfolio by clicking here.)

Amanee's motto is "engineering your dreams into reality" for two reasons:

1) Her background in engineering has given her a skillset in project management, and

2) She has a very systematic and structured approach to making your wedding day run smoothly.

When I met up with Amanee to photograph one of her passions - floral design - it was truly a pleasure to watch her in action.  She's personable, professional, friendly, and knowledgeable.  She knows what she's doing and has such a creative eye! We chit chatted for a few hours over her niche, and I am so glad to call her a colleague in the wedding industry.  Much like a bride-to-be would go to a magazine or a website for how-to advice for planning, Amanee can definitely provide personalized how-to steps for making your wedding day run smoothly from beginning to end!

I asked Amanee a few questions so here's the interview:

Me: How do you make your clients feel special?

Amanee: I love to build friendships with my clients, and I care about whether she just got a new puppy after getting married or will be there to welcome her newborn baby!

Me: What advice can you offer someone who's considering your services but hasn't commissioned you yet?

Amanee: I tell brides that her wedding is the most important day of her life and she should have someone whom she trusts and has her best interest at heart.  I don't try to make a bride feel like she has to choose me.  I want it to be a natural decision.

Me: Can you describe your ideal client?

Amanee: She is a working woman who is family oriented and loves classic weddings, loves glitz and glam and needs me to be her voice because her work schedule doesn't allow her the time to communicate with wedding vendors and set things in place for her wedding day.

Me: Describe a typical day with your bride on the wedding day.

Amanee: My day might begin at 8 AM and may not end until 2 AM after the event is over.  I have to be there after the bride has left for her honeymoon to tie up loose ends and follow up on anything necessary - such as returning rental items or cleaning up.
